It depicts the “ladder” used to hand-pick the 200-year-old olive oil trees and their fruit to avoid damaging them, and theolive grove” with rich mineral-rich soil. Our olive oil was designed with the producer’s thoughts in mind so that it would be a special experience for you.

The Pantaleo farm is located in the countryside of Chiaramonte Gulfi, in the Ragusa province of southeastern Sicily. It all began in 2006 when architect Franco Cappello discovered the ruins of an old farm and fell in love with its charming antique appearance, so he acquired it. The farm has 1,700 olive trees over 200 years old spread over 11 hectares, plus 300 new trees planted in the past six years, and an old 19th-century building next door that is no longer in use. There was an old oil mill attached to it.

Franco soon realized that this area was suitable for growing high-quality olives. Tonda Ivrea, a regional specialty olive variety, had an exceptional fruity aroma and flavor. Franco begins growing olive varieties on this old plantation. Rebuilding a field that had been neglected for many years was a series of hardships, but they persevered and were able to achieve promising results a few years later. And the EXV olive oil “Pantaleo” was born, named after the village where the farm is located.
